The Roman Catholic Diocese of Owensboro (LatinDioecesis Owensburgensis) is aRoman Catholic diocese in Kentucky. It was founded on December 9, 1937. It is currently a suffragan see of the Archdiocese of Louisville. The bishop, William Medley, was the pastor of Saint Bernadette Parish of the Archdiocese of Louisville prior to his ordination which took place February 10, 2010.

Its cathedral in Owensboro is named after St. Stephen, the first martyr of the Christian church.
